1st PlaceApple Cinnamon Cheese Danish 2 pkgs. refrigerated crescent rolls 2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup & 1/4 cup sugar, separated 1 t. vanilla extract 1 egg, separated 1 1/2 t. ground cinnamon 3 medium Apples, peeled & sliced paper thin
Lay 1 pkg. rolls on bottom of 9" X 13" pan to resemble a crust, sealing at seams. In mixing bowl combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, egg yolk & vanilla extract. Spread atop roll dough in pan. Roll out the second package of roll dough between two sheets of waxed paper, sealing at seams. Place dough over cream cheese mixture in pan, peeling off sheets of waxed paper. Beat egg white & brush atop the top layer of dough in pan. Lay sliced, peeled apples atop. Combine remaining 1/4 c. sugar & cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Bake @ 350' for 25 - 30 minutes. Chill
